SKI EXOSKELETON

At the Winter School on Wearable Robotics in Slovenia, I was on a team asked to test the benefits of the AGAINER Ski Exoskeleton- a knee exoskeleton designed to reduce the stress on skiers legs.
In only a couple of days, we developed and executed a small experiment in which people wore the exoskeleton while performing different activities, like skiing and squatting. We found that the exoskeleton can reduce thigh muscle activity by up to 40%, allowing people to ski longer and farther.
